Looks pretty neat. I wonder if the raidcard or whatever has IT mode. I've been looking at ditching my dual 2680v4s for something 12bay scalable to save some power and get more bays.

My Dark Hero has an open pci 4.0x4 slot and I have a ConnectX-2 with 2x 10gb ports lying around somewhere.

So I could hook a 2.5gig connection from my motherboard on one end, and then put the transceiver into an icx 6450 and not have any issues? Been trying to find a way to make use of 2.5gig on my PC without spending a ton of money.

What kind of SAS card would I need for 10tb SAS drives? I wasn't aware these didn't take SAS until after I picked up the drives. Whoops. looking at a 9207-8i so I can make use of some extra SSDs I have sitting around. Edit: Anyone have a link to good screws for 3.5" drives in the sleds? Almost...
