[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

Id assume they are dropshipping from a supplier and messed up the import, that the price of a cpu accidently got imported for mobo. Almost none of the cpu/mobo sellers hold any stock outside of the huananzhi etc OEMs. Ive bought hundreads of xeons from 4-5 different sellers and its all coming...

[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

Personally i would not consider aliexpress a risk on losing money on it for ordering something like this. Unlike most platforms it is fully escrowed, so if you do not get what you ordered there is no money released to the seller that they can run off with. So there is not really the same...

[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

There has been a few listings of the rails on ebay, but im not using any as the full units so did not buy any. Theserverstore also offered these with rails included but seem to have sold out of the server, they might have some extra rails left.

[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

I do feel a unhealthy urge to make a lowball offer on those 3, after seeing those 35-40$ gen3 26x1.4ghz it feels like i could do with some x12 boards.

[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

Its the board from the custom GT86CB5630 version that ebay was flooded with for a while. OCP v2 x8 slot Regular x16 slot with x4/x4/x4/x4 or x8/x4/x4. oculink with x8 or x4/x4. I already have a few of these with 2x 40gbe in the OCP and the x8/x4/x4 riser with 9400-16i in the top x8 slot. 4...

[Unsure if legit, buyer beware] Multiple Supermicro EPYC boards for cheap

I was tempted to try some of the epyc boards for some storage nodes, but this feels like 50/50 if getting the right boards or something they hope is close enough to get accepted. Just grabbing a few more of these was the safe route.

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

Yeah ive given up on listing drives below 12tb as just drives. Recently had 8tb drives on some domestic listings at about 10€/tb for 1 or 8€/tb for lot of 12, with no interest other than 4-5€/tb offers. But if i put 12 of them in a 300€ server and list it at 1000€ then its sold in a few days...

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

E1.S/L is starting to look more and more tempting, they do not seem to have the same increases or see much adoption in the enthusiast/lab segment yet. Sellers that have had their units sitting for months should be getting motivated to take some offers a fair bit below asking.

    EU Supermicro X11SRA-RF C422 Xeon W LGA-2066 [160 euros]

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

The deals really are getting further appart for sure. I got some 3.2tb/3.84tb WD u.2 <50 hr drives earlier in the year at 100-120/ea but finding more of them is not happening sofar. On the plus side my backlog of servers that i have not gotten around to list has also gone up significantly in value.

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

They are inter-tech 4f28, fairly plain cases with room for upto 28x 3.5 in front with push/pull fanrows. My first ones were around 130€ and last ones i bought was about 180€. Id assume there are other OEMs selling them also.

    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

I have nvme drives in those 2 sidemounted slots and they are getting enough cooling from that suprisingly (was expecting to have to design a funnel/shroud for it).

    EXPIRED HYVE Edge Metal G10 - Epyc 7642 - 250£/offer

Might be, it was all from blades bought at the same time with same model/revision but i dont remember what brand it was. Took 4-5 attempts to get a boot and would freeze after sitting just 5-10minutes with proxmox booted. Consistently across the 4 i had on the workbench prepping then...

    EXPIRED HYVE Edge Metal G10 - Epyc 7642 - 250£/offer

Whenever i see a host getting stuck there on reboot i log on BMC and do the "reboot BMC" then both BMC and host come back up. So guessing its BMC glitching that prevents it from booting back up. Got 3-4 different firmware versions across the ones i got, its not all of them that this happends...

    TX - eBay deal

Ive been buying the 2U v3/4 xeon models at 150-200 and the scalable gen1/2 model spec for 200-250. Sold the mobo/cpu/heatsink/ram bundle that came in them domesticly for what i paid for the systems, leaving me with the free case with rails/bezel. Their 1U models like this one you can even get a...
