Nothing that I can think of... I couldn't find much in the way of logs back when this was happening, and honestly, I just went back to the older kernel and left it at that. A system that spontaneously reboots with running VMs is worse than useless... and I was really hoping others would report...

I have not tried running memtest86 for 12+ hours I don't think, but I would note that mine is rock solid in 6.14.8-2 and every previous kernel... makes me think hardware issue is unlikely...

Okay, so... we have the same RAM... so that rules out my theory that perhaps the newer kernels were unhappy with 128GB...

Yes!!!!! Was having the same type of issue, every ~12 hours or less, my MS-A2 would reboot. I think it was a kernel panic though the logging wasn't clear. I went back to 6.14.8-2-pve and that seems to have fixed it; I believe a newer 6.14 kernel also had the same problem which makes me think...

So I'm not doing anything intensive, just running a couple of VMs in a home lab environment. And yet on 6.14.11-4 or the newest 6.17, it would spontaneously reboot after 8-12 hours. Your workload is much more intense... 6.14.8-2 works fine. Machine was up for 80 days before I had to turn it...

Have you tried 6.14.8-2-pve instead? 6.14.11-4-pve and the 6.17s seemed to cause kernel panics or something leaving to spontaneous reboots for me on the MS-A2...

Has anybody had issues with spontaneous reboots with recent Proxmox on these? Mine was running happily on 6.14.8-2-pve (or at least I'm guessing that's the kernel it was running) for ~80 days, I had to shut everything down due to the power company doing maintenance, I boot it back up in kernel...

Are you sure you have the MS-A2? I don't think they offer any Ryzen 8xxx...

I have no idea if it would help with your issue, but I'd suggest the 6.14. I went straight to the 6.14 on mine; my view is that the AMD 9xxx is new enough that you probably don't want a kernel from early 2024.

Well, with the original cable from the power adapter to the wall, all you had to do was look at it funny and it would lose power. Like any movement whatsoever of the power adapter. I replaced that cable and it seems to have helped, but it seems to have lost power again last night, I think around...

Anyone having trouble with the MS-A2 turning itself off? Possibly due to looseness in the power adapter cabling, etc?

That sounds exciting! I'm surprised the brightness is software controllable, but... Now time to figure out how to install this BIOS update.

That doesn't seem right - I'm running Proxmox with the 128GB Crucial kit, and mine takes a... normal... amount to boot. Could something else be going on, e.g. a storage drive taking forever to identify itself? (And I've had a number of unplanned reboots, the power cord it came with was...

Which setting in the BIOS are you using? I set mine to quiet and it's been, well, quiet since... the default was a bit too much on the loud side for me.
