Well, I got XSIBACKUP running on ESXI 8.2 which I had happened to DL along with the 'free' license before Broadcom... I just needed to buy the newer version of XSIBACKUP. So that got sorted. While I miss the IPMI, it's not critical in my case. I installed ESXI on a 500gig MVME in an adapter...
Naw, those LEDs are like super bright and project the case hex holes across the ceiling like a dozen Batman signals…. Not so good in a bedroom. Can’t get XSIBACKUP running on ESXI 8.3 so will install 7 (darn you Broadcom). But the motherboard has been solid all week though. That’s a good start.
Mid morning yesterday, I checked the door cam, nothing yet. Opened the door and it was right in front of the door. My initial inspection was good, all well packed and wrapped in plastic that would probably keep the box and innards dry if it got rained on. I was hoping that I had a compatible...
Well, it's supposed to be getting here today (holds breath...). So far the purchasing experience direct from CWWK has been fine. They provided a 'tracking number' right away, guess I will find out how accurate that is today. Time to take my old Thermaltake V1 case apart (love that case, don't...
OY I never had such bad luck, not the board but trying to get this board. I order through Amazon, then my 95yo mother breaks her femur and I am not thinking at all about the mobo... Meanwhile, the seller (not CWWK -they were OUT, but Kingnovy branded CWWK) emails me about a question and doesn't...
Boy, the more I read the original post here, the more I think... PSU... PSU. Is PSU known good? Fires up with a different mobo ok? Or is there another known good PSU you can try. Spins up then shuts down can be something in the PSU tripping... This would be the time I remove the mobo from...
I had had a very good experience with a little 6x gig port Qotom with the i5 7200 so when I decided last year I needed something new and shiny (and with 2.5gig ports as part of a general home network 'upgrade') I came here to read up on all those mini PCs I saw on Amazon. I've used PFSense a...
While I wait for this board to get here (estimated first week of April) I thought I would look around here but I only see mentions of it, no one with first hand experience yet so I thought I would open a thread as i wait. The plan is to replace my aging Supermicro MDB-X10SDV-TLN4F that's been...
CWWK's 4x nvme adapter board 4*M.2 NVME interface supports expansion of 2/3 M.2 NVMe x1 adapter boards. Dedicated to special machines, only supports CWWK 4 network port N series products only works on the 4 port model. I'm sure there are BIOS differences as the motherboards are different as...
You've already had some good answers here... My .02? Future proofing. Back when I bought a 24 port Netgear router, I was looking for more ports. Not VLANs. But it did layer 2 and 'lite' layer 3. Well, fast forward 8 years. I now have VLANS, and use the extra ports to provide extra...
OY... hopefully it works out as I don't see any thread yet (maybe I will start one...) on that new AMD 7840HS ITX CWWK board... Ordered it and 64gig ECC Kingston... hope that works out cuz I usually do Crucial when I care more about compatibility and stability than speed or looks... Maybe run...
Remove that 2tb nvme and try. Then if no go, remove the ram too. Board should beep an error due to no ram if it attempts to post - you should get a beep provided there is a speaker/buzzer on the board.
I have the 6x i226v port Hunsn with the tall fins, but with the Pentium 8505 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZPCYKQD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1 and found info on settings, along with a modded bios from user 'fta' here in this thread...
I wonder if the fins on that case actually _do_ anything to dissipate heat... but if I had that model, and there were some kind of capacity to install a fan on the underside and has vents for that or for passive cooling I would elevate it maybe with taller rubber 'feet' to provide better...
There is a thread here on the 6 port CWWK: https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/cwwk-i5-1235u-6-port-i226-report.39341/ that goes over the bios settings/limitations. User 'fta' made an unlocked bios, if you are so inclined to try it after verifying it's for your model (always...
I remember when I made my boot USB stick... I grabbed an old one and re-used it. It booted but would not run the file that starts the flashing... like it didn't see the file at all so I then got a new 64gig stick. I used RUFUS to make the boot stick, and unlike the first time with the old...
Well, the link you provided above is for the 4 ethernet port model, I have the 6 ethernet port model so I had followed different instructions/used different bios so am not familiar with the info you linked. But looking at that link, it looks like you get the bios update ISO from CWWK for the...
I had bought the 6 port model with the tall straight fins and saw something similar in PFSense, showing something like '804MHz' in the PFSense GUI but a higher speed in the CLI... First suggestion I could make is to go into the BIOS and make sure that the C States are ENABLED. With the model I...
Well... I've got a 'HUNSN' branded CWWK 8505 (this version: CWWK 12th Gen Alder Lake 2.5G Soft Router Intel 8505 6x Intel i226-V Fanless Mini PC Firewall Appliance Proxmox) but if you were correct in stating 1 DDR-5 stick, it would be different from that as mine takes 1 or 2 DDR4 SODIMS. From...
