Yea running fine for a while now in one of the x24 slots, I would assume any standard PCI-e 3.0 or 4.0 adapter will work fine. There is a newer 5.0 cable which is slightly longer in length that I might test if I grab a RTX 5000 series GPU.
Ran a GPU for just over a month but I hardly transcode...
Got them running in a “Lack Rack” setup to keep things cheap, could not justify spending more on a rack than a single node. Might swap the PSU to desktop units soon, this is my “Production” lab setup so it won’t move or change for a few years.
Will print one of the mounting units for the U.2...
I have tested a Nvidia GPU and LSI HBA with a Goltrends PCI-E 3.0 riser cable from Amazon, both work fine. Currently running the LSI 24/7 in my lab.
Overall I have had two nodes running in an open air config since the first batch were shipped from the listing in first post of this thread...
It's branded as a Hyve board in BMC and dmidecode, on boot it is using a Hyve splash screen with no Tyan branding. No info online about this specific board from what I can see.
root@prx-1:~# dmidecode -t 2
# dmidecode 3.6
Getting SMBIOS data from sysfs.
SMBIOS 3.3.0 present.

There is no option to enable the rear USB in BIOS, I think they might be locked down for security reasons as VGA works fine. I'm using the onboard Broadcom 1GBe NICs in proxmox, they need re-enabling in the BIOS.
I set one up yesterday with Proxmox over iPXE, it seems to be running fine so far but have not done much testing other than loading a few VM's.
Only the Internal USB header works which is enough to connect a keyboard and load the OS over iPXE. Once OS is installed you can reset IPMI password...
UK based buyer here, I got three for 133 gbp each inc vat.
Any ideas on the max length of cards that can fit in the PCI slots? I think Arc A310 low profile can fit but what about external HBA’s? Maybe LSI 9300-16e?
Looks like the M8036-L16-1F is not available anywhere.
