My idls at 21 with a good PSU and one SSD. 24 with 2. All six disks spun up over 50, but unraid takes care of that.
I think I don't care so much because I am coming from a terribly inefficient think server, so this sips in comparison.
Mines the same. I am happy with that to be fair. Could it be a few watts lower year, but with power supply efficiency loss, the port multiplier... It's really pretty efficient. I now have uptime.of 14 days, it hasn't missed a beat.
I didn't change any settings. That's one super old SSD and no fans on.
Also use a shitty power meter so accuracy questionable. When I get back from work will put it in a smart plug and check!
Re the energy- 6w difference is only £15 a year, less if you are in an EV tariff. Not perfect but not a deal breaker given the speed, the compact nature of the boards for me. Appreciate we are all in different financial positions though so may be more painful for others.
Frustrating. If it were me I would (first of all have an all out rage, break stuff) but then order a cheap 4gb stick of crucial or integral ddr 5 4800 and see if that helps.
Process of elimination time.
Update on the bkhd. I am running 6 3.5"s (12 parity, 10, and 4x 4tb). I have two nvmes. All in a fractal node 804.
Running unraid (plus).
It just works. Plex works for the kids, it transcodes to their tabs brilliantly. Home assistant has been moved to it, nice and snappy. Sabz, *arrs all...
I recieved my BKHD n100 board the other day. All setup and running, only issue i found is that my ssd would only work in one slot (the m.2 SSD slot, not the m.2 NFF slot).
Unraid installed and its working well. Its unbelievable at transcoding. 4 streams 4k to whatever and its fine.
Anyone...
