    LGA 1851 Arrow Lake "Servers"

hi mate Did just then. I was RDP'd to it, and it was downloading 10gigs of data. Sits on 45watts while doing this. if I turn on the "Always use energy saver" it drops to 39-40 watts. I'll monitor what it uses when its properly idling doing nothing at all (maybe when it sleeps the SSDs)...

    LGA 1851 Arrow Lake "Servers"

I just built a server with the Supermicro X14SAE-F mainboard (was a nightmare to get this early). I used an Intel Core Ultra 5 235 CPU because it's the low power version. (6 performance, 8 efficient - 65w base, 121w turbo) Works very well. On Chip graphics Quick Sync works well for transcode...

    LGA 1851 Arrow Lake "Servers"

I've got everything but the board (Including 64gig of 5600 Micron ECC memory. The Amazon seller decided to tell me the day before it was about to be delivered that it was not in stock (even though it said it was in stock on the amazon listing). I was pretty annoyed and told the guy what I...

    The Infamous Mikrotik CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ Thread

I'll have a look at the model and post here when I get home. Bit annoying they would sell me the older ones. Paid too much for them too. The supplier here in AU is a bit shit. They are not keen on returns.

I ordered brand new ones but I might have got old stock. These didn't burn my fingers but they ran hot.

    The Infamous Mikrotik CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ Thread

Got my second hand switch, it's working well. I like router OS and all the info that it gives me. SFP+ ports work well. I got a SFP+ 10gigcopper module. It works well but the downside is they run really hot. Like excessively hot. It's a shame that the switch doesn't have some 10gig copper ports.

I've got their router and a pair of Netbox5 AX for a wireless bridge, and I have had zero issues. Very steep learning curve though.

Three years to fix a pretty bad issue like that? Wondering if I am going down the right path with this gear :/

Gigabyte MF51-ES0 for an SSD NAS?

You "feel" wrong. They did advertise that the boards support bifurcation, and the bios has bifurcation options enabling the user to specify how to split the slots, but it doesn't work at all. Even with a gigabyte NVME M2 card. I've tried dual and quad slot cards. Nothing. Only the first drive...

Gigabyte MF51-ES0 for an SSD NAS?

Copy and paste from another thread here. Hey mate, signed up just to reply to your post. I Grabbed the Gigabyte MF51-ES0. It's trash. It works okay for basic stuff, but: - BOTH 10gbe ports are useless. They fail every few days. (They go offline, and you need to reboot the server to bring...

Looking for advice on build, storage spaces server

Hey mate, signed up just to reply to your post. I Grabbed the Gigabyte MF51-ES0. It's trash. It works okay for basic stuff, but: - BOTH 10gbe ports are useless. They fail every few days. (They go offline, and you need to reboot the server to bring them back) I think the chipset overheats. I...
