So there's no way to use this switch as an ethernet switch without buying a license? That's a shame, I thought I'm gonna be able to upgrade my core network to 40G for cheap.

On the other side, can I use firmware from HPE for a switch from mellanox? Their download site seems to be broken. I'm thinking about pulling a trigger on the SX6036, upgrade it to lastest firmware and use it as a 40G ethernet switch (since MLNX-OS 3.4.3002 an ethernet license is no longer required)

How do I know which one is it when buying it used for homelab? As far as I know, there's no mention of that in the specsheet.
