My system hasn't missed a beat now on the patched kernel, same BIOS, same workloads + memtester. Go figure.
Patches here for any Arch Linux users who want linux-lts
Going to upstream the Device ID at least for my i5-12600K I've tried so that eventually I can drop my manual build + patches...
This patch was successful and now two memory controllers show up as expected with corresponding counters!

After installing routine software updates on my NAS my Arch system began experiencing frequent crashes through the day after rebooting to a new kernel and crashes persisted even after rolling back to previous Linux LTS kernel version.

I'm tempted, but the seller with only 3 reviews and not a lot of history scared me away... for now.
If anyone ordered these MG09s, please let us know what receive!
STH review: ASRock Rack 1U2E-C252 Intel Xeon E-2300 1U Server Review
Seems to idle around 30W with Intel Xeon E-2378G and a SSD (guessing this is a SATA SSD?) and interesting to see it has a HDMI video output as a nice change.
If only my M720Q + XL710 router had a problem...
Related to power, Toshiba MG07/MG08/MG09 drives have the lowest idle and active power of any drive (according to the datasheets) I've looked at. Clearly not as low as spinning down, but for my use case low active and idle power are desirable since I can't spin down the drives.
In fact, these...
Signed up for an account on their website and was terrified to see that they email my password back to me in plain-text  for email verification. Buckle up, this will be fun. Using PayPal because YOLO.
At the time of writing the qty in inventory is 1432. o_O
No, could never find it. Does yours fill the error log with successful completion commands like the following also?

This is back at $360 via Amazon. It was $330 in OP, posting here because $360 itself doesn't really justify a new "deal", but worth tracking IMHO.
Just can't seem to find good enough prices on this + DDR5 ECC UDIMMs to justify making the leap yet. Without ECC features it's not much better...
It's fantastically slow compared to SAS. SAS is 12Gb/s, the UART is 38.4kb/s. This interface is used for advanced controls and firmware updates only. There's no way to access the hard drives over the UART interface.
Actually there's a few more on sale for Prime day:

I live in Austin (seller is in Round Rock) and pulled the trigger on this after an offer of $400 and I pick up. I was mostly content with my CSE-826 waiting on a deal to get rails for <$80 and thought I'd add an EMC disk shelf someday... well, this is a better deal then $80 disk shelf and $150...
Did you ever figure anything out? I have a Micron 9200 that slowly increases error counts siting 99% idle.
I have firmware version 101008R0 but it seems that 101008T0 exists as of 2020 according to PCN 33675.
Unfortunately mine arrived with a 65W (1.25A@52V) power supply and not the advertised 130W (2.5A@52V) power supply. Still a great deal, but annoyed they can't be honest on the AliExpress listing. I believe Patrick's video showed a 130W power supply.
OpenWRT can't arrive soon enough...
For those watching the Hasivo switches (I just ordered Hasivo S600WP-5GT-2S+_SE), there's some work to get OpenWRT running on them.
Check out the OpenWRT forum to see and contribute to the the progress.
