And you are very pessimistic about how hard they tried.
Then don't rely on a web form. Even if you do, provide an email address and a PGP key or something as an option. There, problem solved! :) Security is important enough that you can have a simple fallback.
I don't expect people to write...
There is a whole thread discussing them:

I have the ZYOPM 100 meter one, and the XICOM 80 meter one. Note that you have to pick the correct one in the listing.

An enterprise vendor such as Ruckus should really have a dedicated way to contact them about security vulnerabilities, contact details that should be easy to find. The researchers shouldn't have to be insistent, and should not have to provide any vulnerability details to either support or sales...
It was mentioned here. :)
I agree that it's bad that they haven't patched them yet. Some of them are things that other vendors have gotten flack for years ago, so it's kind of surprising that they didn't learn from that.
The older ones are still being sold because they are cheaper. It's only in the last year or so that the 80 and 100 meter ones have become available for a reasonable price. As an example, I paid roughly €120-130 each for 100 meter ones from Flexoptix. More recently, I managed to buy a 100 meter...
Are you using one of the old 10GBASE-T transceivers rated for only 30 meters? Those are known to get "burning your fingers" hot. The newer ones rated for 80 or 100 meters still get hot, but much less so due to their lower power consumption.
6 x Ethernet and 2 x SFP+? I doubt it. Alder Lake-N (and its successor in the N series) processors are very limited in terms of PCI-E bandwidth (just 9 PCI-E 3.0 lanes).
Why do you even need 6 x Ethernet ports?
I haven't benchmarked the N100 for routing, but I would expect it to handle it just...
Yes, it works for me too. Sometimes AliExpress listings can be region locked though, which is something I only found out earlier this year. :)
For anyone wondering, the first unit is listed by KingNovy.
The one with dual X710 SFP+ interface is interesting. I already bought the one with dual Aquantia NICs a couple of months ago though, when an SFP+ version wasn't available.
If you want energy efficient 10GBASE-T, Intel isn't really your best bet.
I kind of doubt it. I don't think he flashed OpenWrt on it to use it as a router. It was presumably only a way to get switch functionality with an up-to-date software stack. :)
If you're using SMB, make sure to use modern versions of it. TrueNAS should have a recent version of Samba so SMB v3 should be doable, but you might have to configure the minimum allowed SMB version.
What OS is your desktop running? If on Windows, the transfer might be single threaded unless...
Ah yes, I went by the core numbering but didn't think about things such as hyperthreading. :D
Sadly, the written STH review of that unit doesn't show temperature readings. I haven't checked the video, so that might be worth doing. :)
