    Any experience with Hasivo F1100W-4XS-4XGT (L3 switch) - 4x SFP+ ports and 4x 10GBase-T ports

I have seen this "waste" being made in other models. That's why I asked.

    Any experience with Hasivo F1100W-4XS-4XGT (L3 switch) - 4x SFP+ ports and 4x 10GBase-T ports

Hello, a few questions for people who have this device: 1. Is it really fanless or does it have one of those slim fan where that is mounted on the heatsink? 2. Is the L3 version the same as the web managed? I am asking because I have seen switch marketed as L3 having the RTL9313 instead of...

    NVMe SSD M.2 E-key native - Silicon Power MEM3K0E

Unfortunately, I don't think these E-key native SSDs are worth it. It's much cheaper to get an adaptor (like this) and use a regular M-Keyed 2230 SSD.

[FS] Lenovo Tiny 10/25G Network Fan Shrouds

I agree with you. I believe that's why newer generation of the Lenovo tiny use a "grilled" top. I am actually considering getting a P340 top cover and see if I can retrofit it to the P330 case.

12-16 port 10GBase-T Switch - still nothing better than XS512EM?

You may get something Realtek based for around $350. the RTL9313 supports up to 12 10G ports. Something like this: https://www.hasivo.com/productinfo/1244459.html Fanless and more than five 10GbT ports is really not a thing. New PHYs are coming out NOW that run cooler. Maybe it'll be a thing...

Realtek 10 GbE USB Adapters might be on the way?

That's not gonna happen. I think you are gonna need enterprise gear and good one at that. Not even the new intel e610 has RDMA. What I hope is that Realtek improves their hardware/driver with more hardware offloading even for simple client use.

Realtek 10 GbE USB Adapters might be on the way?

I disagree with you on this. Unfortunately USB 3 Gen 2x2 is a pretty rare port. USB4 is not TB3. There are plenty of TB3 "USB4" controller who only do 10GB or 40GB.

Realtek 10 GbE USB Adapters might be on the way?

I think the lineup is pretty solid, aside from the RTL8159 that uses USB 3.2 Gen2x2 instead of USB4, It's not clear to me if the RTL8261C announced a new 10G PHY, because the Realtek RTL8261XYZ can be found already in plenty of Realtek based switches and SFP+ modules.

[FS] Lenovo Tiny 10/25G Network Fan Shrouds

I have been trying a ConnectX-6 LX in my M920x. The card is very tiny. Unfortunately, it doesn't support ASPM (will try to update the firmware and try again) and prevents the CPU from going above C3. The card heatsink is extremely hot to the touch, clearly needs airflow and adds 10W+ without...

[FS] Lenovo Tiny 10/25G Network Fan Shrouds

Hello. Maybe there is something that I don't understand. From the pictures, it looks like the top of the shroud is blocked. Where does the fan intake fresh air? I am thinking of buying a noctua 40x40x10 5V, and gluing it to the top vent. Has anybody tried it?

    Hot Deal - Intel Optane 905P 960GB w/U.2 to M.2 adapter cable $219.99

Optane is great. But Optane is also attacked by multiple fronts by RAM and the NAND SSD. I would say that TODAY, OPTANE vs FLASH SSD 1. Low queue depths random read, Optane has still a big advantage (like 3x~4x faster). 2 Low queue depths random write, Optane is on par with pSLC drives and...

Review Request: WisdPi USB 3.2 5Gbps Wired Base-T Ethernet Adapter (WP-UT5) based on Realtek RTL8157

Crazy thought. You can find a person with an @realtek.com email address who have contributed to the kernel module and send them an email with your findings.

Will SFP FTTH transceiver work in SFP+/SFP28 NIC?

    Thanks for the explanation!

CrystalDiskMark Benchmarks (at QD1) - Comparing RAM vs Optane vs SSD vs HDD

Something is not right with these numbers. The optanes should should do 4k random read QD1 at around 300MB/s.

Will SFP FTTH transceiver work in SFP+/SFP28 NIC?

I am surprised that it worked. I thought you couldn't just plug the ISP SFP transceiver into a network card, you also need an ONT. There are some special "SFP-shaped" cards that do both functions (they have an internal cpu and run a small OS), like this https://www.fs.com/products/133619.html...

    Binardat 10G12-1200GSM Switch Experiences

Sadly the Realtek website does not list everything. It lists the RTL9311, which is similar to the RTL9313 but in a different configuration. The maximum switching capacity reported by the manufacturer can't be greater than the combined speed of all ports times 2 (full duplex) It won't make make...

    Binardat 10G12-1200GSM Switch Experiences

Sorry, I just googled it and landed on the amazon page for version with 8x2.5G+2x10GbaseT+2xSFP+ (which, I think is a more interesting combo) Nevertheless, the story does not change, you have something based on Realtek RTL9313. This is an alternative setup with some baseT ports. The RTL931**...

Lenovo Thinkcentre/ThinkStation Tiny (Project TinyMiniMicro) Reference Thread

They don't **need** x8 slot and will often work with older version of PCIe or fewer lanes (sometime at cost of not reaching the full bandwidth). For reaching full bandwidth, a single 10gb connection requires 1 Lane at Gen4, 2 lanes at gen3, or 4 lanes at gen2.

    Binardat 10G12-1200GSM Switch Experiences

This is a other router based on realtek chips. Mokerlink has an identical model. This is likely made hrui. I am gonna venture and say that it is based on the Realtek RTL9302C (similar to the 9303 but with different bandwidth partition). It's an interesting model. You can consolidate a larger...
