    Mellanox ConnectX-3 Windows 11

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8) * The PCIEX8 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When the PCIEX8 slot is populated, the PCIEX16 slot operates at up to x8 mode. Check your bios if it is in auto mode or x16 (->fixed, this would disable the x8 slot))

Dell H755 with generic 4 port nvme(2x8654 8i) backplane, cable problem.

Is this a u.2 backplane? Or u.3? U.3 backplanes/connectors work only with u.3 ssds while u.2 backplanes/connectors will work with u.3 in compatibility and u.2 in native mode. Nvme is a protocol on top of pcie, for pcie there are different connectors and cable standards.
