    I’m in canada, so the two are around the same price somehow with shipping. I really only need 2 ports, and 10g isn’t necessary. I just don’t want to waste money on another card that’s too old. If the 10g cards are a lot newer I hope that will work better, that’s why I was looking at that.

    The HP one, yes. One thing others have mentioned is that because these are pcie 1.0a all of my mobos are too new

    I’ve bought two different intel Pro/1000 NICs, and no matter what I’ve tried I can’t get them to show up. The BIOS doesn’t see them, and Linux lspci doesn’t either. They are pic-e x4 cards. I’ve tried changing the slots, I’ve poked around in the BIOS to see if there was some setting I could...
