My board is also 32mb I am running bios 4.02 with BMC 3.0 (everything seems fine) I ran into the BMC limitation and contacted Tyan and they suggested doing an RMA for chip replacement anyone ever deal with Tyan for RMA? what's the turn around time like?

well write cache was disabled I enabled it and that seems to have solved the writing slow down where is the read ahead option located?

Got a couple of these drives from eBay and I got netapp drives trying to use them in none netapp hardware (windows) Drives seem to work fine, but the speed slows to a crawl can these not be used in none netapp hardware? Anyway to flash the firmware on these to none netapp?
