These chips were supposed to appear a year ago, but it didnt happen due to some stability problems. Any word on whether that problem is fixed and this is new revision, or refurbished old one?
I found new lowest price, vendor name is hisource and on aliexpres 4+2 variant is 43 USD including EU VAT and free shipping. They also have 8+1 and also both in PoE variants. I am missing variant with both poe and management for good price :) Also shame I dont have much use for it yet.
Sorry I dont have response neither from HP support forum, nor from local service partner. And I stopped actively pursuing solution, because I left my i9-13900 in that new one I bought.
I have one newer piece which arrived this week, placed i9-13900 there, and it works fine. Board revision is same as the one from September last year. I raised hw support request to hp partner, will see what they reply.
Hi, I upgraded HP Z2 Mini G9 from i7-12700 to i9-13900. Now every POST, there is warning "Hardware configuration mismatch: Current PCA is not fully compatible to support Intel Gen 13th Processor." (see uploaded image) After pressing enter, computer boots.
What is PCA and how to I update it...
I did a quick check and see e.g. Supermicro X12STL and Xeon E-2336 available (though I am not from UK).
I am starting to look myself for upgrade from my IB server, and wish Supermicro produced some Ryzen boards. I know Asrock Rack has bunch of AM4 like X470D4U2-2T but they are cost a lot. They...

Whats the reason youre stuck on 6.7? I have Ivy bridge (1 gen older than Haswell) and ESXi7 upgrade only mentions that it will be unsupported in future, so it still works on 7.0
Are you looking to buy something new or used?
Specs on Ark say these new N CPUs have only single channel memory controller and support max 16GB of RAM. But Aliexpress sellers offer 32GB RAM bundles. Wondering whether these mini PCs have 1 or 2 memory slots and whats real max capacity.
Hi,
is it possible to boot from consumer NVME drive on Dell Poweredge T350?
As vmware doesnt recommend deploying new ESXI system to USB disk, I wanted to install it on NVME
Server doesnt have any normal sata port, so I decided to just use NVME drive via M.2/PCIe adapter.
As per VMWare...
I dont understand if everything in this file will not not be detected, or just mellanox and FC stuff mentioned in article and rest is just deprecated. But I see there sata controllers from chipsets for socket 2011-3 and older, many older intel network cards etc...

I googled this chinese site which contains link to beta build downloadable from Baidu, but sadly I dont have account there

18TB disks reach to 280MB/s sequentially, random might be around 200IOPS I think. Raid 5/6 impacts write performance. With 4disk raid5 you can get random write performance lower than wih single drive. Also for safety reason, raid card has tendency to disable HDD internal cache, unless it has...
there is a thread on this forum listing all sorts of OEM and Retail LSI chip based cards.
I sugest SAS3 with SAS3108 chip, like 9361-8i or OEM version if you can find for a good price. Older SAS2 might be just..too old. Newer cards with NVME support like 9460 or even 9560 seem to still cost a...
Xeon E5 platform sound like overkill for dedicated firewall with 1Gb uplink. But if you dont mind higher power usage (around 80W idle), go for it.
On the more modern parts, core i3-12100 offers great performance for 4c8t part, but currently server motherboards arent available yet.
And also AMD...
Both 6.7 and 7.0 are supported on Ivy bridge, but 7.0 has bigger system storage requirements, I think officially its 32GB minimum, unofficially it might fit to smaller drive. 6.7 reaches EOL in several months. So for new installation I suggest 7.0, BUT check if it has driver for your storage...
