another use if I can would use it also as a Media server too, does Linux support this too or would windows version be better. I should have stated it would be used as data storage, LAN interface, CAD Data storage, Media storage, ,etc

I had to ask, I felt I could use whatever I had laying about. I have an older PDSLA MB and a new system, workstation, I just put together using a C7P67 SM MB, thinking of using maybe the PDSLA for the server, tho it's really a workstation MB, it has the gigabit LAN ports.

Question, can one just use a simple setup as a home server, as in, a workstation MB running an Intel i5 2500K with16GB RAM, dual Realtek gigabit LAN. Just to tie a few computers, storage, small business firewall, Cable Modem all together. Thanks Hap

Using a Cisco RVS4000, tho I did add a enermax fan on top to keep some of the parts cooler inside, and again wondering if others might be using this small business security router
