    EXPIRED Micron 9200 NVMe 2.5" SSD 1.6 TB -- $64.95

Yeah those legit if 10-20% life left got tossed from a data center and this place salvaged them. We typically don't even us anything with 60% or less on any deployments unless it's for a select few clients who don't need their data.

    FS S5860-20SQ - $499

How have people liked the FS switches? I've got a 32 or 36x 100G one sitting in my work shop I need to mess around with one of these days.

Cheyenne supercomputer with 8,064 Xeon e5-2697v4 and 313,344GB of DDR4 auction!

I agree at this price it's still under $100 per "server" which for a hosting provider if these are even usable like a normal system great deal. But for most not worth it at all. Would be interesting to see who ends up getting it and what they do with it. I'd love a rack or two if it was usable...

Cheyenne supercomputer with 8,064 Xeon e5-2697v4 and 313,344GB of DDR4 auction!

I believe they set all the cables aside for the new owners it states in the auction. "The internal DAC cables within each cell, although removed, will be meticulously labeled, and packaged in boxes, facilitating potential future reinstallation."

Cheyenne supercomputer with 8,064 Xeon e5-2697v4 and 313,344GB of DDR4 auction!

It's a lot more customized I believe it's a multi node unit it's all liquid cooled as well in a per rack bases. Which has had some leaks they said.

    Just what @patrick needs

There is a semi lack of motherboards but a lot of people still running older v3's even who would love to upgrade to those CPU's. Currently they're in the $45-50 range. They I am sure would sell like hot cakes at $25 each. But again big waste of time. Best option would be popping it into a DC...

    Just what @patrick needs

Problem with this (We looked to buy it) is the removal of the systems 3 days to get everything out of there would cost a huge amount of money. Plus it has some leaks and things. From a parts stand point the CPU's are worth a good 200k alone if not more. Good if you can repair some of the...

AMD Epyc Bergamo / Genoa (9734/9534) for ~40% of MSRP (and "free" mboard) @ NewEgg (2023/07/16)

We bought some single CPU ones with 24 dimm slots quite nice but also a pain! Nothing in-between really worked as it should following all the guides and even trying our own way. It was basically 12 dimms or 24 dimms nothing else worked.

I was wondering the same, being cut seemed a little sketchy looking.

    I want one

Would want to see the RJ45's at least 10G on that as well. 1G for them is pretty piss poor given the price tag.

    Toshiba 14TB SAS MG07SCA14TE 512e $66 NEW

Yup and then you will have people like some of our clients who will complain about a NVMe drive being 5 years old but having 99% life on it. :) It's quite interesting even for business clearly enterprise drives are more suggested when ordering. However, quite often you will find some killer...

Replacement server option - Gigabyte R282-Z92 a good option?

Quite a bit costly to be honest. Then again we got a steal on our last batch of these for $7-900. This is overkill of you don't need that many drive bays as said. There are a few other options out there but it depends on your usage. Some 2U 4 node systems in the $2200-2400 range with some nvme...

Picked up 4 I think. Stupid long but sometimes it's great to have in the data center for testing or that odd requirement!
