Yeah those legit if 10-20% life left got tossed from a data center and this place salvaged them.
We typically don't even us anything with 60% or less on any deployments unless it's for a select few clients who don't need their data.
I agree at this price it's still under $100 per "server" which for a hosting provider if these are even usable like a normal system great deal. But for most not worth it at all. Would be interesting to see who ends up getting it and what they do with it.
I'd love a rack or two if it was usable...
I believe they set all the cables aside for the new owners it states in the auction.
"The internal DAC cables within each cell, although removed, will be meticulously labeled, and packaged in boxes, facilitating potential future reinstallation."

Currently they're in the $45-50 range. They I am sure would sell like hot cakes at $25 each. But again big waste of time.
Best option would be popping it into a DC...

From a parts stand point the CPU's are worth a good 200k alone if not more.
Good if you can repair some of the...
We bought some single CPU ones with 24 dimm slots quite nice but also a pain! Nothing in-between really worked as it should following all the guides and even trying our own way. It was basically 12 dimms or 24 dimms nothing else worked.

It's quite interesting even for business clearly enterprise drives are more suggested when ordering. However, quite often you will find some killer...
Quite a bit costly to be honest.
Then again we got a steal on our last batch of these for $7-900. This is overkill of you don't need that many drive bays as said.
There are a few other options out there but it depends on your usage. Some 2U 4 node systems in the $2200-2400 range with some nvme...
