    Supermicro SC846/X10DriT reduce power consumption

You are actually not required to disable cores as they can be parked automatically. You are not saying what OS you are using; pretty much all the modern OS have a power saving feature. ESXi has a power saving option Windows can have the power options triggered directly or via external...

Supermicro H8DGi-F - unable to use Jave remote admin any more :-(

Well... it seems like I solved this removing java and installing jre-8u341. I have also disable the certificate checks from the control panel settings... Is there any alternative for me to remotely administer these motherboard without having to relay on Java? Thanks!

Supermicro H8DGi-F - unable to use Jave remote admin any more :-(

jdk.security.caDistrustPolicies=SYMANTEC_TLS ? I doubt the BMC to be an issue as I'm experiencing this from multiple clients towards multiple servers.

Supermicro H8DGi-F - unable to use Jave remote admin any more :-(

Thank you so much for the quick answer! I have attempted the first method and cleared the cache just afterwards. The issue "moved" which is perhaps already a positive thing. I'm still confused why the popup refers to certificate while I'm using http... perhaps it's the app certificate?

Supermicro H8DGi-F - unable to use Jave remote admin any more :-(

I am really not sure what happened here. I have not updated anything on my home servers so I went opening the IPMI interface as usual, got the usual Update java warning, remote control, console redirection: Launch console -> launch.jlnp is downloaded as usual (until here everything is normal)...

Supermicro H8DGi-F change fan policy from ipmitool

As per today I still don't understand why one server (identical motherboards) answers via IPMI and the other not. I guess I would need to cpmpare the full ipmi output to find out...

Any issue forseen upgrading my H8DGI-F from ESXi 6.5 to 7.0?

I have tried installing remotely using virtual ISO from IKVM (same effect as USB just slower due to the network limitation from my remote location). It appears to complain about the network cards not found. I've tried 7.0U1 out of the bod and customised .iso with the drivers of my last post...

Any issue forseen upgrading my H8DGI-F from ESXi 6.5 to 7.0?

I have a Supermicro H8DGI-F with an Adaptech 6805 controller. Currently running ESXi 6.5 with no issues. I know the RAID controller would not be supported in if I upgrade to ESXi 7, but is everything else going to be ok on this board? My main concern is the network cards (as i so an intensive...

    Supermicro H8DGi-F - IPMIVIEW issue

Actully in IPMIVIEW on windows I spotted this almost invisible error in the bottom left corner: This confuses me as I'm looking in with the default ADMIN/ADMIN credentials and the ADMIN user is indeed an administrator. Odd, the only reference I can think about is LDAP/Active Directory but...

    Supermicro H8DGi-F - IPMIVIEW issue

I have 3x H8DGi-F which I have installed recently. Same BIOS, Same IPMI firmware. There's something that really puzzles me as I can easily and happily access one of the motherboards via IPMIVIEW where the other two are inaccessible. Basically I can't get past the login screen. All three...

Hi there I have a SuperMicro H8DGi-F I can see in the BIOS a setting to change the fan policy like power saving/balanced/performance/full speed I have noticed that changing these settings affect two factors: - the minimum speed the fans will spin to - the reactivity to temperature increase...
