The $109 card arrived today. I don't see any issues with it. Appears to be a clean pull - nothing out of the ordinary.
I won't be able to test it out for a couple weeks, but seems good on the visual inspection level
I've seen people in the past zip-tie fans to other HBA cards when not used in server cases with noisy high RPM fans. Would that be needed in the case of this card? What's the heat like?
I've never had an issue with my 2 LSI 9211-8i cards.
I messaged again and got the same result as Seion above.
Seems like the seller has been delivering based on sale price instead of listing - ie, if low offer accepted on the higher priced drive listing, you get the drive with stats that matches that low price instead of what you think you...
I did similar yesterday. The seller offered to replace them. Not excited for the turnaround time to ship back what I received and wait for a replacement.
Waiting for a follow-up response when I asked how that would work.
I purchased from this seller and just received my drives. The listing stated 22k hours and manufactured in 2018. The drives I received had 32k hours and manufactured in 2016 (HUH721010AL4200 HGST Ultrastar He10 10TB 7200RPM SAS 12Gbps 256MB 993257125537 | eBay).
Not sure what the mix-up is...
