    Horaco 2.5GbE Managed Switch (8 x 2.5GbE + 1 10Gb SFP+)

The new TrendNET switch (model TPE-TG350) arrived, but only just had time to test. Thankfully, it's soon enough where I can still run identical tests: same cables, same adapters, same systems, same OS versions, same tests, same methodology, TrendNET TPE-TG350 pros vs Hasivo: Lifetime US...

    Horaco 2.5GbE Managed Switch (8 x 2.5GbE + 1 10Gb SFP+)

That's fantastic and that's what I would expect. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. // I ran more tests today, as I also have a Hasivo 8x2.5GbE + 1x10GbE switch (S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE), POE, managed plus ran a wider variety of tests: regular browsing, iperf3 again (same settings)...

    Horaco 2.5GbE Managed Switch (8 x 2.5GbE + 1 10Gb SFP+)

It looks clean as a whistle. Before & after the reset (img below is after the rest), it's always shown 0 TxBadPkt and 0 RxBadPkt.

    Horaco 2.5GbE Managed Switch (8 x 2.5GbE + 1 10Gb SFP+)

Has anyone seen noticeably higher TCP retransmissions with iperf3? This is with the 4-port 2.5GbE + 2-port 10GbE, POE, managed Hasivo (model # below). I ran mine at a paltry 700 Mbps vs my old TP-Link 1 GbE $25 switch. Further, clients have dropped / lost connection more than a few times only...

Are cheap 2.5Gb managed PoE switches not a thing?

? Three injectors would be a fair bit of waste. Our current switch is 1Gbe POE (no POE+) → the Hasivo POE+/++ is the ideal upgrade for a long time. Our sq. ft. isn't large enough to justify more APs, neither for perf nor $. Yep, again, definitely a different layout: one POE switch per floor...

Are cheap 2.5Gb managed PoE switches not a thing?

Ah, we have a different layout: one AP per POE switch and 1-2 small devices (VOIP at 3W; IP cam at 15W). For us, POE+ means we can still use virtually any AP (30W+) without power constraints, but we likely won't need more than 25W as you note. Now, POE++ is a bit excessive in our...

Are cheap 2.5Gb managed PoE switches not a thing?

I believe it is more of an import issue than a production issue. For example, Hasivo has loads of 2.5G / 10G uplink POE managed switches; many are on their Aliexpress Store, far more than the resellers on Amazon US storefront. From what I understand, Hasivo's setup is port 1 is POE++ and the...
