Hey @Patrick, after the 2nd image you may have a typo
Key specs are read speeds of 2,500 MB/s with read speeds of 900MB/s. 70/30 mixed workload IOPS are rated at 110K.
Should probably be:

@T_Minus Not sure if this is the case: I remember an issue with ESXi and sync where the setting would not be obeyed even when set to disabled
Do not have the original information, but quickly searching online showed this as an example:

Seagate Demonstrates Fastest-Ever SSD Flash Drive | Business Wire
10 Gigabytes(!) per second throughput for the SSD - nothing listed about IOPS
The NVMe uses 16 PCIe lanes and an 8 lane model will be also released
Things are escalating quickly :D
So...how long before someone here gets one? :)
@Chuckleb @RobertFontaine just beware of the ethernet over power adapters/powerline advertised speeds; your milage /will/ vary
it can definitely be a quick and easy way to get connectivity (if it works - depending on your home's wiring)
however, there is a big delta between the advertised...
Nice find, as it includes the Server OS.
"Just in Case Someone is Wondering" Side note and Pro-tip: Server 2012 Essentials cannot be upgraded to Server 2012R2 Essentials - requires format and install.
I remember that one of those new models allows for dynamic allocation of drives to nodes, so that may be the reason.
However, I cannot recall which version (6220 or 6220 V2) it was released/started with.
@Ponury Typ
The HP ML and the Lenovo TS and TD servers can be quit(er) - some more than others.
Off the top of my head they can range anywhere from higher 20s, to 30s, to 40s dBA.
However, it seems a universal thing, now, that as soon as you use a 'non-recognized' (i.e. not...

@Peanuthead
worth a double check: if it is the NS4750-24S-4T-4X, then that is 24 x SFP (fibre/twinax gigabit) with shared (only) 4 x 1000Base-T RJ45 (aka regular gigabit NICs) and with the 4 x 10Gb SFP+
assuming that caveat works for you, then the switch is even better - the specs show it...

re: 2xRAM modules being required to install - if you meant specifically for dual channel, then yes
otherwise, I installed a system for a client with 1x16GB DDR4 successfully
Front page news? :)
This is huge. Closest thing before was having Eurocom et al stuff server Xeons into a laptop chassis.
