    Thanks! Do you know what happens with the PCIe slots if it is a SAGE version of the mobo? I am asking because SAGE has 7 PCIe slots ( x16/x16/x16/x16/x16/x8/x16) and that's clearly more than what single non-WS SPR Xeons have (WS versions trade non-enabled UPI links for more PCIe lanes) ? @edit...

    Not only in manuals, on my mobo there were small "Gen4" stickers on both M2 slots, which scared me. I also guess they did not validate / some tests failed - but thankfully, it works. Now, about those 3x UPIs - I am getting my waterblocks today so I can power on the second CPU. But I suppose...

    JFYI - despite the fact that Gigabyte says MS73-HB1 has "Gen4" M2 slots, it actually trains at PCIe 5.0 speeds, and I get this with Crucial T700 SSDs. Just please make sure SSDs are >actively cooled< (with a fan, not just the heatsink) otherwise they will go in throttlefest mode.
