    you dont want 990pro for VSAN you want enterprise drives. new vsan = all nvme older vsan = can mix apart from that have fun, you will get some HCL messages probably, but it should work fine. VSAN is surpringly fast to setup.

    its funny, I checked generations of what we still have in prod 5820, no power details, 5920, 343 idle, 5930/5940, 100w idle so at some point someone figured out power had a cost :D but darn they are awesome units. what? arista has a gui?! never knew, always just use CLI, and LOVE their CLI...

    1) no really, but also yes see below is no by default, but you can use an XVR QSFP+ to SFP+ and then nr 2 kicks in, you can use SFP+ on a pair, or even single lambda, but then its also possible to use a SR4 bidi module on the breakout cable. 2) yes but it might be easier to just use a cable...
