    RPi 5: still no NPU?

But the American and Western Europe markets are not important as China on edge computing with AI. So usually we saw the cell phones with NPU in America, but not the edge applications of AI.

    RPi 5: still no NPU?

Using Rockchip SoCs to make AI boards is on the market quite a while, like ASUS' Tinker Edge R(which has 1st gen RKNN). 2nd gen is on the market, too. Drivers: GitHub - rockchip-linux/rknpu2 Userguide...

    RPi 5: still no NPU?

Did a google search. Its result make me guess that probably Broadcom doesn't have a small and low price SoC product with CPU+GPU+(NPU/TPU) which fits the SBC market, even Broadcom designed 2 TPUs together with Google.

    RPi 5: still no NPU?

The Raspberry Pi 5 was released. link: Raspberry Pi 5 – Raspberry Pi But it looks like the Raspberry Pi specific Broadcom BCM2712 hasn't came with an NPU. It seems the features from NPU are not important in the North American and Western Europe users. Its competitor, Rockchip, low end...

Low idle power of a mini PC with gaming laptop CPU

Bought a mini PC barebone from Minisforum. It equips with a gaming laptop CPU(intel) and dual i225 NICs. The storage allows 1x 2280 m2 nvme slot and 1x sata drive. (Its sata cable looks like a specifically designed laptop part and very tiny. I think STHers here is familiar with other parts from...

Internet Upgraded to 5Gig, Need Help Upgrading Hardware

Personally I will prefer Brocade's layer 3 switches with more security features than Mikrotik ones. Even I bought some Mikrotik switches with SFP+ ports, much earlier before I got Brocade.

Internet Upgraded to 5Gig, Need Help Upgrading Hardware

By the way, the 2.5gbps or 5gbps rj45 to sfp modules are pretty limited on compatibility, not like the SFP+ DAC cables. If the switch arrived, the user can ask the module manufacturer on aliexpress to modify their modules to match the switch brand before shipping out via the message to seller...

Internet Upgraded to 5Gig, Need Help Upgrading Hardware

If you don't need IDS/IPS and VPN features, only NAT, DHCP, DNS and FreeRADIUS3, passmark around 4500-5000 should be OK. (Just OK, not great.) If IDS/IPS and VPN are needed, the passmark of i7-8700 and above is needed. By the way, SFP+ NICs are much reliable than dual RJ45 10gbe NICs. And...

BliKVM v4 (Another new PiKVM variant from Bli)

Another interesting thing, a rumor said orange pi compute module 4 (not raspberry pi cm4) is compatible with rpi cm4's socket. If this rumor is true, the cost of building a BliKVM v1(rpi cm4 socket) will be lower.

Qotom Denverton fanless system with 4 SFP+

For Qotom, probably they will only update the BIOS for 2 or 3 years only. Probably I was 1 of the users for the 1st batch of Qotom 5th gen i5 quad-port mini PCs(which were so popular in reddit, netgate user forum and STH forum at that moment), but they removed this product from their website...

    (US) 90 dollar Wyse 5070 Thin client/mini-server?

For the 65w power supplies, modern 65w dell laptop compatible ones (including dell and non dell but compatible) are better than the old (>8 years) dell 65w ones. But wyse 5070 extended's 135w stock psu is prefered, even if the user is using lower power drawing intel i340-t4, not i350-t4 or i350-am4.

34 inch monitor with > 100% sRGB and AdobeRGB?

Probably the manufacturer changed the panel model on this monitor after year 2020. I already has a 100% sRGB monitor. But I think someone else here may be interested on a low price and high specs one. As comparing, Last time I posted on the "Great Deals" forum on STH here was a Lenovo...

34 inch monitor with > 100% sRGB and AdobeRGB?

Amazon.com has AOC U34P2, 34 inch with > 100% sRGB and AdobeRGB, only $300, too good to be true? AOC and Benq are pretty old brands of monitor products. But this one's sRGB and AdobeRGB specs on amazon.com are different from the same model number on displayspecifications.com website.
