Well I think its just a bad board/system I got. I have now tried 4 sets of memory including the brand/model direct from the QVL and two different cpus all with the exact same issue. Will not run with more than a single stick of memory in it. BIOS post code 55 after 4 beeps when trying two or...
Agreed... I have already spent more than I wanted to in order to get this running and don't have another cpu to test with... IF the QVL memory doesn't fix it then definitely going to have to find another lga1150 to find out if its the cpu.
Right on... now I am worried if I have a bad IMC or motherboard if that is the case. I have tried multiple sets and finally ordered a set right of their QVL for 8gb sticks to see if those change anything. If not then I must have something else causing the memory issue.
Are either of the regular 1gb nics on board (addressable/usable) by a hypervisor? I tried ESXI and it doesn't see either. I assume 1 is management and I might have to adjust the bios to share that one but I was expecting the other to be a regular intel gigabit nic.

Ask forgiveness....not permission. Tomorrow I will get some flowers or do something really nice for her. This weekend sounds like she might have a painting/flooring project so as long as I do that I should be OK......SHOULD.
My wife is going to kill me if she sees the credit card bill. I gotta figure out how to play off all these ebay shipments coming in the next week now.... I wasn't expecting so many best offers to go through. I need rehab.
You know I stay away from this forum for a few months and I am able to maintain a budget and sense of "need" vs "want". I come back and BAM sucked right back in and blowing my stash! Someone ban me....
I am trying to do this as well with a MCX314A but it looks like Mellanox has removed the custom firmware page from their site. Anyone able to share another source for that mcx314a?
**FOUND it** for anyone else looking they still have it up on their korean site ;)...
