hexachannel ddr4, PCIe 3.0 (not PCIe4.0)
this special SKU 8321hc is single socket only, Datacenter SKU. maybe OEM motherboards available.
cooper lake is original made for 8 socket system, supports Bfloat16.
no
8321hc is 14nm cooper lake LGA4189-5
need special motherboard, X12QCH+ i.e.
edit: microcode is different from ice lake, cooper lake supports only hexachannel memory.
i guess the converter Caps on the Motherboard are all 25V(or higher) type ?.
if 24V(regulated?) is highest possible voltage i see no hint for the Caps.
Note
-M.2 share lanes with OCuLink1,
M2_1 and OCuLink1 are BOM option
-4 SATA 7-pin share lanes with OCuLink2,
4 SATA 7-pin support possible by depopulating OCuLink2 and other BOM change
as i know you need a 22kOhm resistor from + to the smart pin.
worked with laptop before but not tested with optiplex desktop
edit: found out Dell made it mor complicated, using a 1-wire communication device sending power, voltage, and current.
comeon, why turn the plastic holder around while pressing down to the PCB ? i just put it with two fingers(pin located to me), move it (to me and up) and its out.
