Thank you for your feedback tenos, this input show the randomness of the issue. (3 / 9 affected..)
At our side we have tested SwOS in a setup where it was only passing IPMI traffic over 4 differnt vlans and we still got the issue.
Did you order them all at the same time or do you have different...
This is some very interesting feedback as it show that some models are running fine in some use cases...
At our side we also had them in datacenter, simple configuration, no changes and got the port freezes on all devices quite quickly.
We had one unit that kept running smooth for 12 month and...
Regarding the noise, as long as you do not have all ports plugged it is reasonable... but if you choose to get this switch, be prepared to get only 40 copper ports available at best and globally a crippled device.
Then yes it's cheap and reliability is sometimes random but we are here at a...
I wanted to create a thread regarding this particular switch from Mikrotik, namely the CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+.
While this looked like a dream of a switch, packing 48 copper 1G ports, 4 SFP+ Cages and 2 QSFP+ and dual PSU for less thant 500$, it turned out to be a nightmare and an...
Just a bump up of the tread with one other occurence on the issue :
Drive : Samsung MZ-1LB9600 960Go ( PM963)
OS : Almalinux / CentOS 8.4
Recognised without issue on Asrockrack X470
Recognised showing only 1GB Asrockrack X570
Ran the command :
# nvme format /dev/nvme0n1
Old thread revival but useful information I think :
Just updated Securelinx Spider SLS200 to the latest 4.2 firmware dated 30/06/2020 from Lantronix website :
and I now have HTML5...
Follow up : I updated with bios 4.02J and it boots ok with Ryzen 5900X but IPMI is behaving strange, power state is not correctly asserted and systems seems to freeze randomly, lots of " FRB3/Processor Startup/Initialization failure - Asserted " errors in the ipmi log.
Reverting back to...
I was convinced that I read somewhere that a lab bios was available for the X470D4U to support Zen3 CPU and more specifically the Ryzen 5900X.
I can't find it anywhere.
I know the X570D4U has had one as we have some of them aldready running zen3 cpu but did I dreamt the X470D4U had one too ?
I have recently done the following build :
2* 32 Go ECC
Supermicro 1U SC113
Dynatron 1U Watercooling
Small fan for the chipset
I have tested this build with Aida64 System Stability Test for more than one hour and it has been completely stable.
I have not noted the chipset...
A bit late to the party here but we also built 1U servers with X470D4U and after much testing / cpuburning we have settled for the Dynatron L3 watercooling.
We use it with Ryzen 3950X and no fan based system could cope with the speed at which it heats up.
Now with the L3's, even under heavy...
I have no solution to provide but I have the same problem with write amplification with ZFS and Proxmox.
I have been running a 12 drives RAIDZ6 using crucial mx500 1Tb drives.
I have computed a *28 write amplification and the "estimated lifetime remaining" of the drive was loosing one...
