Yeah. Those are with the C1 stepping, meaning no VT-d support.I believe that's the E5-2650, not the 2670.

It turns out that the RMS25JB080 that I received from OEM XS (for $30) is a PCIe gen2 card which won't cross flash with the LSI 9207-8i that I had anticipated. The LSI 9207-8i is PCIe gen3, and upon attempting to flash, I was presented with a failure due to incompat board revision (something to that effect)...I also ordered Intel RMS25JB080 SG35851 Integrated RAID Module, New Bulk Packaging (they accepted a $30 offer after some haggling) which I plan on 'attempting' to flash the LSI 9207-8i IT FW.
Great info. I'm gonna grab one now with a spare PSU. Now can you confirm if the onboard SCU will pass through in ESXi or will I need 2 HBAs. I can't try anything out until RAM comes in on Monday. It turns out that the RMS25JB080 that I received from OEM XS (for $30) is a PCIe gen2 card which won't cross flash with the LSI 9207-8i that I had anticipated. However I *was* able to cross flash it with another SAS2308 chipset card; the LSI 9205-8e (which is a PCIe gen2 card; found on the Avago Downloads under the Legacy HBA list). Note, if you use the current P20 FW, you'll need to use the P15 UEFI sas2flash tool, otherwise you'll encounter a Device ID check that'll prevent the flash from completing. Using this combo of sas2flash and FW, I had no trouble crossflashing from Intel FW to LSI.
I had played around with erasing and flashing from the Intel P20 IR to LSI 9205 IT several times
Anyway, I also ordered a couple of the RMS25KB080 ($40 ea). There are two steppings of this card; PCIe gen2 just like the above RMS25JB080, and the newer PCIe gen3. If you go shopping for one and you expect to crossflash it, I'd suggest you get the PCIe gen3 stepping...
Here is PCIe gen3 SAS2308 variant, so it should cleanly crossflash with the LSI 9207-8i FW. I let everyone know if I'm successful once I receive these cards later next week:
Intel RMS25KB080 OEM Integrated PCIe RAID Module New Bulk Packaging
Note to all; both the RMS25JB080 mezzanine and RMS25KB080 PCIe cards are BIOS locked to a specific list of supported Intel motherboards (these will *not* work on other manufacturer's boards). Fortunately for us who have purchase the Intel S2600 boards, these make very inexpensive 6Gb HBA additions!
What trouble shooting have you done? Does the board do the same thing when it's outside if the case? The stop code error B7 or B9 are relate to memory module. One of the memory module got stuck at check point. Please check your memory.got a X9SRL-F from superbiiz.com
cpu from esiso inc
memory from Samsung 64GB (8x8GB) 2RX4 PC3L-10600R DDR3 1.35V 1333MHZ ECC REG Server Memory
slap it all together and i'm having memory issues whenever i have memory in DIMMB1 it wont boot hangs on b7 error
as long as that dimm is empty it boots tried 2 different power supplies same deal what are the any ideas what it can be? motherboard cpu?
I had the same issue with a Supermicro motherboard purchased from Newegg.yes it does the same thing outside the case i tried every memory stick in other slots and they all work the only time it don't work is when the memory is in that 1 slot
Is this list of motherboards in the documentation anywhere? Curious for more info on this. I didn't even know RAID cards did this. With all the crossflashing between IBM/Fujitsu/Dell/LSI/etc I never realized this was a thing. Never used Intel cards though.Note to all; both the RMS25JB080 mezzanine and RMS25KB080 PCIe cards are BIOS locked to a specific list of supported Intel motherboards (these will *not* work on other manufacturer's boards). The manual states that the power distribution boards are different between the 750 and the 1600 on that chassis and mentions that you have to swap them if you want to use the other.Couple of questions:
I'd like to use one of the 750W PS from the P4000M chassis in the P4000L chassis and remove the 1600W PS. Any thing I need to watch out for other than loosing redundancy?
Also, I tried searching for the blanks / fillers for the PS empty slot and can't seem to find other than one with the whole redundant bracket kit. Any other sources / suggestions?

Most folks here have been getting the S2600CP2J from NATEX. Check the great deals thread.Which is the cheapest dual cpu motherboard for E5-2670 ? (except quanta)

Yes you are right. The difference I read about was the two different PDBs If it had the 750 it has the high current PDB which supports all PSUs. The low one can only support 460w and 750W PSUs.@markarr
Can you please let me know which manual you are referring to?
Just skimmed thru the technical product spec for P4000IP. P 63 says High current PDB is compatible with 750W, 1200W & 1600W. However, the lengths for each of these are different. So even if the board is compatible, mounting of the board needs to be chaged.
