Just bought a 180gb Intel Pro 1500 SSD from eBay. It came with what looks to be a fresh install of HP Windows comnplete with HP Tools partition and a recovery partition. Total writes are showing as 99.6gb. It looks like Windows was installed at the factory and that's the only use it has seen. There is nothing on the drive in the way of personal info, not even a user other than Admin, default and public. It was 40 bucks delivered so I'm wondering if the speedo might have tampered with.

With the correct tools the SMART data could be changed I suppose, but why bother, it's hardly worth the effort? I suspect you just snagged an unused oem laptop disk at a good price :)

HP 840 G2 are using sandisk x300 (most models)

Yeah, the "Pro 1500" isn't an enterprise drive at all, basically just something Intel used to relabel their consumer SSDs as for the business laptop market (36.5 TBW).
