Powerclamp is just a power management driver for the cpu. I don't think it is your issue.

Try installing proxmox over IPMI. Virtual media the iso, and I bet your install will work.

Had a similar headache with my new supermicro servers, IPMI worked fine.

Good luck.

Actually I just had this issue last week on a dell r710. I was installing over impi. Same issue using virtual media & burning iso to CD-R. Not sure what is fix but was a show stopper for me too.
The powerclamp driver error, or the cd not found error?

Glad it worked.

When I ran into it, my googling only netted me these errors in much older versions, with few answers, so it strikes me as this issue is long standing. Hell of a bug to have, much less hang onto...

If I had to guess, the install was hard coded to look for another mount point than the initial boot drive for the media to continue.

make sure to set to non uefi the first boot ( or hybrid.. legacy first, and uefi on second) in bios, when installing proxmox by physical CD/DVD...
learnt by trial, and found out.. proxmox CD does NOT support uefi ....
