Your intentions are to watch the Good Deal forum so members here do the work for your business finding deals for you.

You then swoop in asking for contact info so you don't have to do ANY work but make a call and send someone money.

It's irritating to see you abuse the forum like that, and then to top it off you state you want them all.

Yeah, that's a bit ballsy, and ridiculous and that's my POV...

Thanks for the find @tby !
I wasn't getting traction on offers so I just grabbed 2 at $500 because only 2 were left this morning and 16 competing offers. They may have more and re-list based on the listing comments from yesterday.

I'd like to point out that my intentions are not to resell at a higher price and try to make a profit off anyone here. They would absolutely not be resold (unless someone hit me up and wanted one really bad, then yes, I would sell one to a fellow community member...)
Ya see...and therein lies the problem/issue some may take here, if you snatch them all up with really not intentions of offering them here when budget constraints free up/needs arise then they are not avail for others to pickup. It's a double edged sword...now if you told us you were getting them, not hard up for cash, intended to offer them here at cost or for nominal profit and make them readily avail to community I think your intentions would be MUCH better received. :-D

Just sayin'/2cents...obviously free to do whatever you like...joys of free market economy but certainly NOT w/in the spirit of the community IMHO.

Mine arrived today with a bonus of two SFP+ modules. PSUs are 300w. I'm seeing 100w-ish on startup and 130-140 as it runs a while. My meter is measuring my whole rack so can't give exact numbers. Doesn't seem any louder than what's running in my rack now. Waiting on QSFP -> SFP+ stuff to be able to do anything with it.

Did you try access it using serial console cable? Can't wait to find out what software runs on them (and if the commands are similar to the LB4M's)...

Pretty sure the seller is just listing ten at a time on eBay to keep shipping manageable. They have a lot more still unless someone went outside of eBay and picked up their whole stock. I don't see any offers being accepted though.

When they shipped my 2 they sent another message saying they have many more if I was interested. Considering there were so many offers on the first batch and a lot went for close to or the full price I don't think they will bother with low offers until they stop selling quick. I would say message the seller bethanie1990 on eBay direct if you want some.

When you open them up you can tell where they were able to get so many from :)

lb6m_inside_amazon.jpg

Each of the 2 I ordered came with 2 bonus SFP+'s as well, and they were packed ans shipped quick.

Nice, I missed spotting an Amazon label when I opened mine. That would imply they may have way more than would have fit on my Amex.

They've got some cheap DACs listed too, 5x Arista 1M for $30, accepted a BO of $21 this morning. I've got a fun project ahead of me next week rewiring my lab rack for 10GbE and stringing a 10GbE fiber connection from the house to my detached garage / home office.

I wonder if it's worth "down-grading" from my infiniband switch to this, the switch is pretty toasty and just plain loud. Someone said these can be modded to be quiet? What kind of decibel levels are we talking? I don't even really see more than 12 Gbps throughput using iperf anyway with infiniband, at least these natively do ethernet frames.

It's worth noting that people are buying these at the asking price, it's not likely for the seller to go much lower than 500.
