Memory question: X9SCL+-F and Xeon E3-1240v2

Might be a "stupid" question, but I thinking of buying a X9SCL+-F motherboar and Xeon E3-1240v2 processor soon. Can I use this memory from Kingston?

I just wanted to make sure before I hit the buy button soon?

A tip on this one, just go to Kingston.com (or Crucial.com and etc) and search for motherboards there. The vendors do a really good job of keeping their HCL's updated.

They also have 1600MHz CL11 DIMMS which give about 20% more memory bandwidth (something like 21GB/s to 25GB/s). Those modules are a bit harder to find, but might be worth it.

Thanks for the reply and confirmation about the memory modules. Going to look for some 1600MHz modules, but I am already thinking it might get expensive .

But then again CL11 takes 22% in extra cycles to do the same thing, so in reality you may only see a 5% increase in speed.
But you do get extra bragging rights

But yes Kingston and Crucial best choice, these guys fill all the data center Servers wiith RAM, running Supermicro Mobo's (as in my case)

Nice thing about crucial (aside from quality): their web site has a configurator where you can drill down to the exact motherboard you have and it will show you ram that works with it.

I think Kingston has a similar compatibility tool.
