Hello guys,

I have an Intel S1200BTL server board, ESXI 5 installed on usb stick, CPU E3-1240.

My Problem is: I would like to have a RAID 1 with the onboard raid controllers. There are two methods to activate that in the bios.
1. is The ESRT2 (*LSI) based on the LSI Megaraiddriver
2. is the RST

I used the Lsi based ROM.
On Intel's site i found SAS Hardware RAID Driver for ESXi 5 for my board here.

I installed the driver in esxi but in vsphere i can see all my drivers, but no volume(i created a raid1 volume in LSI rom).

Can anybody help ?

I generally use LSI RAID 1 for vsphere. I should probably try this and do a main site post on it. A bit backed up at the moment but will work on it if I get some free time.

That makes sense NME. I remember compatibility issues with ESXi being the main reason I started using LSI controllers and RAID 1.
