I'd buy a couple if they were for sale. As is, buying a 3D printer, software, and supplies makes it cost prohibitive.

Must be huge efforts and time needed to get it done nicely by @The Gecko . I guess it was a fun of DIY
I'm famously known for spending $100 to make/do something myself where it would have cost me $10 to just buy the darned thing and get it over with. Right now I'm faced with a classic situation. I bought a "For parts only" 6TB 12G SAS HD on eBay for $40. The drive itself is fine, very low mileage even, but the plastic connector is broken. I just ordered a cheap hot air rework station from Amazon so I can replace the plug. So even if I successfully replace the plug I'll still have $80 in the drive and a hot air rework station as a consolation prize. Bean counters laugh at me.
