The servers are sold.

I have two one Supermicro E300-8D mini server for sale for $550 plus shipping. The servers are like-new: I powered them on for a few days before changing plans. I'm including all OEM accessories and packaging. Each server has two 16 GB RDIMMs installed (SM PN S802C0F17041593DAE9 // Micron PN MTA18ASF2G72PDZ-2G3B1).

I accept PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle.

Nice systems! ...are these D-15xx, or D-21xx generation CPUs? Do you have any pictures, especially with cover off/inside?

Thank You for the clarification on D-1518 CPUs & pictures. I would like these as upgrades to my C2758s, but don't have the budget & strong enough justification. GLWS

I replaced the 2 installed supermicro fans with 3 quieter (slower) supermicro fans and I find my 300-8d to be quiet enough, but it is in a network closet. Plug and play replacement.

I did the same thing and it worked well. But, these were sitting on the desk in the shop - Still too loud under load.

Should be easy enough to silence them with noctua fans instead.

Good luck with the sale.
It's in a 1U enclosure. I have tried 40mm Noctua fans in SCE300 enclosures - More for curiosity. That configuration managed ~ 25 Watts before running away under load. It works well enough for 4 and 8 core Denverton configurations, but not Xeon D.

Too bad about the noise, I would have been really interested :( I saw in a test that with default fan they were at 44/60 dbA in idle/load. Any measurements with the FAN-0100L4?

FAN-0064L4 (Delta) is spec'd at 53 dBA max and the FAN-0100L4 (Nidec) at 34 dBA max. So, I'd expect the two Nidec fans to peak ~ 37 dBA under load. In my opinion, that's still distracting when it's on a bench next to you. But, as previously mentioned, it's fine for a closet.
