Hi guys,
Looking for a board for my Xeon E3 1235L v5, i stumbled upon the MSI IPC MS-98E2-C236 which is just perfect for my needs. The webpage mentions that it's compatible with
1) Given that this board uses a C236 chip and a 1151 Socket, can i confidently assume that it will be 100% compatible with my Xeon E3 v5 as well? In other words, are boards ment for E3 12xx v6 as well 100% backward compatible with v5 ?
2) The documentation states that the supported CPU frequency is 2.3GHz - 4.0GHz, but the minimal frequency of my cpu is only 2.0GHz. Should i be worried about it ?
Thanks in Advance.
Nico

without specifying whether it's a Skylake E3-12xx v5 or v6. I'm confused because other manufacturers did mention the v.7th/6th Gen Intel® Desktop Kaby Lake/ Skylake Xeon/i7/i5/ i3/Pentium®/Celeron® Series Processor
