Good find. I was curious what the pricing may be for a 10GBE NIC. $2.40 vs $42.03.
I was about to say I'd expect a newer part to be cheaper since that's a 2011 model but it looks like the x550 was a 2016 controller(that supports it) but is more expensive too, still I'd expect being 2020 to see some sort of price reduction/cost reduced version with more competition.

I thought we were done with the whole IPMI/ILO/iDRAC using the same NIC as the system itself, it is so much nicer to have physical separation of the management planes (at least security wise). But I don't know, maybe it's just me...

Which vendors care about this? The big ones like HP, Dell and so on? or are we talking about various appliance makers?
