Seller accepted my offer on $20 per disk offer on the 3 disks. Total comes to $29 per disk. Not sure if this is a great deal since these drives are SATA 3.0 GBs and thicker than regular sata drives. I am planning to have an array of 6 in 3.5" drive bays to cut down the noise of hard drives so they work great for me.

Good question, I don't know. This bulletin says bug affects SAS SSDs; perhaps these ones are safe:

HP Enterprise SSD Firmware Bug Causes them to Fail at 32,768 Hours of Use, Fix Released

I have 3 of them at home already, I will check them tonight to see their uptime. In the meantime, perhaps experts here can comment.

Looks like it's an SM825 which is a SATA 3.0 Gbps (not 6.0 Gbps) drive.

I'm tempted. If these are HP Branded SM 825, 7000TBW is pretty good. They're 15mm tall, in part, because the case is a casting and used as a heatsink. The components all have thermal pads. Will still fit the hot swap trays on my Dell.

On the other hand....this...worries me a bit.
