Well this may be a fantastic deal if it pans out. Provantage has an HP DL325 1U server on sale with proc/ram/sas and a 3 year warranty for $1611. That's only slightly more than the cost of the 7402p processor. I've ordered in case there is a time limit. Look it over and tell me if I'm missing something as this seems too good to be true.

Solid deal. It's special order so Provantage doesn't stock it. I wonder if the order will go through once it goes to HP for fulfillment--only one way for someone to find out. ;)

This is actually a great deal and (I suspect) not a pricing mistake. We purchased 1x unit at provantage for $1350 earlier (which I felt _was_ a pricing mistake).

Took over a month to be fulfilled due to not being in stock, but still showed up at our doorstep.

The 7402P unit we received comes with 2x P03052-191, which is 2933 DDR4.
(As opposed to the 7401P units that have 2x 2400 DDR4)

You do need to sacrifice the 4x1GB FlexLOM to add in additional networking as Patrick mentioned in his review.

I believe this is not a price mistake since it has same price with CDW on HPE official site. So Provantage is providing ~20% off discount actually.

Does anyone know if the 2 NVMe ports in this are enabled by default

I have just created ship forwarding service from US to Canada for first time for this deal (PROVANTAGE does not ship to Canada ! )

still trying to convince myself not to click pay :)

Up to $1826, bummer. I spoke with a rep and they said the deal was going on through most of January so maybe the price will go back down.

Does anyone have a handle on how loud these things are at idle and load? I need to run this thing in my office so I'm hoping for reasonable noise levels. Wish you could swap the fans for Noctuas...

I wouldn't put one of these in an open office. We keep our cluster in a sound dampened rack and I can still hear the fans whining through the insulation.

I think the NVME ports are on a different SKU as they replace the DVD drive so no luck there.

Beyond the channel pricing, there are also some other discounts getting passed through to partners on the AMD offerings. The DL325 Gen10 is getting a PCIe4-based refresh DL325 Gen10 Plus (announced last month) which is shipping starts later this month afaik (haven't heard if they are going to EOS this chassis or keep both though). This chassis is the SFF SATA/SAS backplane model. There is an optional 2-sled module where the optical drive blank that can take a pair of U.2 style NVMe drives.

I wonder if the new revision is why these older systems are so cheap. Not complaining as these are perfect for our clients. Does anyone know which power supplies will work in these? I've heard all gen8/9 power supplies will but I don't want to order without some sort of confirmation.
