One of my OC nodes was mining at less than half the others, rebooted and restarted mining and now is mining the same as the others.
If you see that again, check the clock speed of the CPU's. After the switch 3 Quanta and 2 Wynn OC nodes decided there wasn't enough load and throttled the CPU's down rather than running boost. Had to restart the nodes to get the hash up. There may be a bug in xmrig if you are seeing the same thing.

Well the network hash rate is now over double of what is was before the algo change. I'm still better off than before since I have about ten times the hash rate now.

Sure was not expecting the hash to climb so quickly, pretty soon it will be up to the levels when asics were mining.:(

Crazy intel randomx optimization - intel i7-7700k single thread 537 h/s to 687 h/s , ~30% boost. : MoneroMining

This did not work for my Sandy Bridge cpu's in my open compute servers but I just tried it on my i5-8400 system and the hash went from ~2650 H/s to ~3105 H/s. :D

The above link is directions to turn off hardware prefetcher in newer Intel cpu's.

I do not know what cpu's this works on or if sandy bridge uses a different instruction.

EDIT: I played around with hugepages and had zero change from my base setting. Only disabling prefetching made a difference.

EDIT 2: Turning off prefetching would probably not be the best thing if you are using the pc for other tasks, on the two gaming pc's I just pulled the Windows ssd's out and installed hard drives with Ubuntu just for mining purposes.

After turning off prefetching on my i3-8100 pc hashing went from ~1788 H/s to ~1972 H/s so a nice little boost.

There is a new version of Xmrig out, ver 5.1.0.

On my Dual 2667 v3 pc its about % 1 higher hash rate.

On my X3700 Ryzen it went from ~ 7500H/s to ~7750 H/s.

My XEON platinum registered a 10X increase in HASH. Now its pulling around 13000 H/sec

Network hash is WAY up, soon not to be worth mining anymore.

Hashrate and difficulty is alot higher than I was expecting. :(

The difficulty went up 3X so far, but my hash rate went up almost 15X at the same power envelope so I'll ride it for now :)

RandomX hashrate is different from cn/r hashrate. Network hashrate is about 3x, but CPU hashrate is typically 7x-10x, profitability is actually up quite a bit.

Yea it is much better than before but I was hoping the network hash rate would not go up so much.......

Its guaranteed to go up because of the CPU hash rate increase but it seems to have hit a plateau. Many amateur miners with one or two systems might start mining after seeing the massive jump in hash on their personal system, but now that network hash also increased significantly, these smaller miners will eventually leave.

a question about intel xeon phi 5110p pci-e card...can i use this card to mine with randomx? is it ease in use like a gpu card? just click it on pci-e slot of motherboard and start mining with xmrig?
or do i need something special software to use this card?

i am talking about this one

Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor 5110P (8GB, 1.053 GHz, 60 core) Product Specifications

i know that this is 1st gen phi pci-e cards, there is also 2nd gen 52** pci-e cards. but i have possibilty to buy 1ste xeon phi 5110p...that is my question about.

please, no reply about 2nd gen cards...just about 1st gen card

The phi is a nitch product for mining and has little support. LukMiner is the only project I am aware of for monero and it appears to be updated for randomx. I wouldn't expect much from a 5110p, a 7250 is around 6800 h, a pair of E5 2650l V2 with dual channel 1600mhz ram is 5930 h and 180w and I have no idea what power usage is on a phi to compare efficiency.

Hey guys.

Reporting what I've seen so far.

Hash rates are up a huge amount. I think Rome CPU's are getting 500H/core now. DDR4-2933 lowers performance.

Even with hash rates up like 10x I'm only netting 3x the XMR/day. It isn't bad, but it wasn't the 8-10x I was hoping for.

Thanks @Patrick for universal_cryptonight but you may want to change the name now.

Tweaking my Ryzen 3700X pc.

Installed Ubuntu 18.04.3 Desktop on my pcie 4.0 1 Tb nvme drive instead of the Windows 10 install that I had on it.

Xmrig 5.2.0 hashes over 1000 H/s more than 5.1.0 on this Ryzen 3700X cpu.:D

Took a little work to get it to compile with gcc 9.2.1 without errors.

Followed this guide here.
9526 h/s on Ryzen 7 3700X (XMRig 5.2.0 + 1GB pages + MSR mod on Ubuntu) : MoneroMining

Compiling Xmrig-5.2.0 with gcc 9.2.1 was worth about 100 H/s more than the precompiled binary.

I DID NOT overclock the cpu or mess with the memory timings at all so my hash rate is lower than the author of the guide above.

Also I commented out "vm.nr_hugepages = 1280" in "/etc/sysctl.conf" since now xmrig-5.2.0 controls the hugepages if you run xmrig as sudo.

So a nice increase in hashrate.

Also version 5.2.1 is supposed to include the "wrmsr" commands.

EDIT: Just for reference with the same pc mining with xmrig-5.1.0 I was getting about 7650 H/s average using the precompiled binary.
