wow ive always wondered when we would see 1u 4 proc. this is the first one ive ever seen, been looking for years. i think i have a thread on here with people saying its too hard to make. is there an intel scalable version of this?

There is a scalable version of it here: HPC Cluster - PSSC Labs but I'm not sure at what cost- I guess play around with their configuration and see how much?

I was able to pickup the chassis for $325/each /w shipping to CA from that seller on eBay. Maybe send him a PM and see if he has more?

Also keep in mind that these are not high TDP units as the heat from one proc ends up on another. Not to mention that fan pressure is restricted from the proc lineup. I'd say you're safe up to 110w max per proc in this config and that's probably pushing it. This is why the 55W L procs are awesome in this scenario- 16c/32t @ 1.8/2.9 110W total per node will give 32c/64t of compute power per 1u with a power profile that is under 200w.
