The problem isn't the motherboard, it's the CPU. You need an E5 v4 or newer.

Their listing explicitly states it works with E5-2600 V3 with newest BIOS that supports V4

This is a special product at a very special price, only from Mem-Store. It is a TSV RDIMM memory. It cannot be mixed with regular RDIMMs!

It works with Intel Xeon E5-2600 V4, and Scalable CPU based machines.

It also works with all Supermicro E5-2600 V3 CPU based machines as long as the BIOS updated to be capable to run with V4 CPUs

It used to be easy to find in the intel tech spec sheet for the processor which it’s self is not that easy to find on the site.

As I understand the board in the case of say that X10SRL is not the limit but the CPU.

In general does anybody know what is support for
E5 v3,v4 and scalable v1,v2, and d1500/d2100 ?
AMD ?

D1500 for example only supports rdimm and not lrdimm.
Nearly everything support 2Rx4. But I know not all support 4R stuff in rdimm even if they do in lrdimm.

Summary is a cheat sheet would me nice if anybody has one else it’s off looking for the detail specs.

Looks like they updated that since this was first posted then. It originally said E5 v4 or Scalable only.

It says "It also works with all Supermicro E5-2600 V3 CPU based machines as long as the BIOS updated to be capable to run with V4 CPUs"
But what is TSV exactly? Might be something proprietary from Supermicro or something that's not supported on normal boards.

TSV is basically a way of vertically stacking chips to increase density via passthroughs in the silicon instead of wire bonding. (Maintains performance of solution)
Not Supermicro specific.

I also like Even's idea of a cheat sheet.

I did buy one to find out for myself.

As of now if they really are rdimm and not lrdimm it would most probably be because they are 4r that they will not work with xeonD 1500 series.

Have a
X10SDV-4C+-TP4F-O from super micro

With bios 2.0 would not past post and with bios 2.0C also.

I don't have a other machine that I know for sure should work but did try it on a datto board also with a xeonD those should be from gigabyte and that also would not post.

This is a guess but thinking people with new c3000 atoms or xeonD 2100 series could have better luck but just a guess

D-2100 should be fine with that ram I think.
Not really sure about C3000 though.
Finding detail info on the memory controller for intel chips is either harder these days or I am not looking in the right place.

3DS is another type of memory that isn't a traditional rdimm or lrdimm. You need specific 3DS support.

I wish the type of memory supported was much better documented.
For example just the number of ranks per dimm or per channel.

I’ll pull 4 sticks out of one system and try it on an E5 V3’s system. Dell is generally good about memory compatibility so your mileage vary.
ES CPUs are out of the question as rarely can you run updated microcode on them.

They're working in my Supermicro X10SRL-F and E5-1650 V3. They show up as 2133MHZ UNKNOWN SRx4 32GB RDIMM in BIOS with all the ECC options present.

Looking for some decent DDR4 ECC RDIMMs spec'd at 2666 (minimum 2400) for an EPYC and X11SDV build. Anyone watching eBay before the coupon expires?
