The X9SRL-F does indeed support PC3-14900 LRDIMMs. I believe you should get 6 beeps if the ram is not compatible. This memory would not work on my Supermicro X9SRL-F. They are working fine in Supermicro X9DR3-LN4F+-B.
On the Supermicro X9SRL-F, I got the no-boot, no-video, no-beep code symptom. Basically, the board doesn't pass the pre-check.
This board is working fine currently with 16gb sticks. I want to update to 32gb stick w/o any luck.
Is it the BIOS thing? Does anyone have this memory working on the Supermicro X9SRL-F board?
Can you get me your BIOS version? Mine definitely doesn't work. even IPMI won't work correctly with the memory installed (all sensor shows N/A in IPMI, no display etc).I am running in a X9SRL-F with no problems.
I'm running the latest I think. Firmware 3.19 with IPMI 2.0.Can you get me your BIOS version? Mine definitely doesn't work. even IPMI won't work correctly with the memory installed (all sensor shows N/A in IPMI, no display etc).
Thanks
Keep in mind the X9SRL-F does not support LR-DIMMs with E5-1600 CPUs. You need 2600 series of CPUs. It'll support 14900 regular DIMMs with 1600 CPUs.Can you get me your BIOS version? This must be it. I have a E-1650v2 CPU on this board. Thank youKeep in mind the X9SRL-F does not support LR-DIMMs with E5-1600 CPUs. You need 2600 series of CPUs. It'll support 14900 regular DIMMs with 1600 CPUs.
One word--Ramdrive.Talk to me brother, what would you use that much ram for? Eh? Ehhhhhhh?
Dude...you are Insane!
What do you need with a half a TB of ram bro?
I have 16 x 16GB sticks myself. That's 256GB of ram. I couldn't possibly forsee anyone needing that much for home or lab use

to calculate pi using y-cruncher. . 256gb ram you can only calculate up to 50 billion digits using only ram. did it in less than 1.7hr on the dual 2696v2. with 512GB ram i can calculate 100billion digits of pi (in probably about 4hr or lessOne word--Ramdrive.
I need some cheap 64gb lrdimms. where you got them?Testing those 64GB DIMMS Should be faster after BIOS update, well see.
