The Quadro 4000 and 6000 are compatible with ESXi, xen,hyper-v for Shared VGA support. Instead of VT-d you can load up many people on a single card!

I've got a standard Quadro 4000 - figure $200 + shipping. works great. nothing special , just works!

The Quadro 6000 is a special version, which has DUAL DVI !! Most of these cards did not come with two dvi, maybe 1 dp + 1 dvi.

Also it is for a server (dl180 G6 etc) so it has passive cooling. Which means you can add a fan, add a waterblock(replacing existing heat pipes) or ???. 6GB of GDDR5, works great in ESXi, linux, and windows! $650 + ship (Remember this is a dual DVI-D version, and passive cooling!) you still need a fan or put it inside a server ! Rock solid!

Quadro do not have limited floating point, and these two cards are "MULTI-OS" aka shared VGA for virtualization. IIRC 8 esxi vm's on 4000 and 24 on 6000 :)

Will take RAM (RDIMM 4GB,8GB ECC), paypal verified from a member that has been around for a while, or cash.

Also would take QLE2560/QLE2562 adapters for trade.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, what sort of valuation is 4GB and 8GB at nowadays. Kingston KVR.

I ask in reference to either the 4000 or the 6000, depending on how fancy I want to get with my VMware cluster.

I take it the Quadro 6000 used to be a Quadro Plex 7000 (dual Q6000's) flashed back to a single Q6000
Hence the dual DVI out, most Q6000's come with Dual DP/single DVI
The Q6000 has 6GB ECC RAM making it a true workstation graphics card.
At $650 a steal, very tempted my self, and I even have a spare heat pipe/fan assembly

Just looking at Quadro Plex 7000 specs
QP7000 each Q6000 = 512 Cuda cores
Normal Q6000 has 448 Cores
How many cores are active after the flash ?

Q6000 memory clock = 750Mhz
QP7000 memory clock = 925Mhz
What clock speed did it get after the flash ?

Core speeds are identical for both

Your specs are insufficient. The quadriplex 7000 had two revisions like many fermi. (and kepler).

The first gen have 1 lane reserved, and the second revision include the extra rops.

First gen Quadro 6000 448, first gen qplex 7000 (448*2)

no second generation quadro 6000, but 2nd gen qplex 7000 (512*2)

You can see this pattern repeat throughout time with nvidia. Probably due to higher yields.
