I've installed two of the Broadcom 9400-16i as referenced in the Great Deals forum in my Windows 10 machine.

Upgraded firmware and BIOS to v11 per Captain PoundSand's instructions
HBA_9400-16i_Mixed_Profile.bin
mpt35sas_legacy.rom

Moved my 4 Storage Space drives from the motherboard sata ports for testing.
Black Magic's Disk Speed tests show I'm getting about 40-75 MB/s compared to 90-110 MB/s. Should I be seeing higher read/write speeds than I'm getting?

Thanks in advance for responding. Yes, I know I'll be better off moving to Linux but starting with baby steps first. :)

The start of my unraid parity check with that card was 190MB/s yesterday. I would say something is wrong.

I've tried moving all drives to the same controller and still seeing the same speed ranges. Will research if I need to set the controller profile specifically for Windows 10.

I plugged a SSD drive into both controllers and cable ends and getting read/write readings identical to the motherboard. I'll move a standalone 3.5" drive next for testing.

HGST 520 12TB gives me 250-260 MB/s on LSI9300 and IBM1215[lsi9300] both flashed with the latest LSI's IT FW.
9400 >9300.
There is obviously something wrong with yours setup.
I will start with checking the actual port speed , have no idea what is Linux equivalent of "sasinfo" but pretty sure there is.
