They also have 1.3TB for $98, and 1.6TB for $134..
Would they work as ESXi datastores? Whats the Power consumption?

From what i read they should run fine as datastore, just not bootable.
Since they are known to run hot I expect quite a bit of power consumption, but I have not yet found numbers

I saw 25W max, but nothing about idle and typical with low load.. bit high for my taste but great deal nonetheless.

I've always wondered if these need drivers or present themselves as a drive-controller combination to the OS/motherboard? It would be nice to use these as just high-speed backups on some select systems if they are plug and play.

June 13 this month.
I brought 5 x 1.3TB Sandisk SX350 1305GB
After 13% Ebay bucks coupon, came out to $79 each.

All the cards are very low usage. Seller packed the box really well.

I got my first card in today. It was indeed brand spanking new. I am running Windows 10 1809 and I cannot get the fio-status or fio-attach tools to run. The driver installed fine, but I get an "error initializing the SDK" message. I'll go slap it in my ESXi host and try again tomorrow. I know it isn't the card, must be missing some prerequisite to run the utility on Windows.

FYI,
Crystal benchmark testing was done with a old H87 motherboard , only pcie-2.0 and with a weak Pentium CPU ( forgot which model )
