  • Bandwidth:
    • Sequential Read: 340 MB/s
    • Sequential Write: 100 MB/s
Why so low?
It's an older SSD and it's only 80GB so it's not going to be the fastest thing out there. It's just a nice, cheap, reliable option for a server / hypervisor boot drive.

IT's 80gb that's why it's slow.

Can get 120gb for this price too, just not used :D keep an eye out they goo fast.

The item box's picture on ebay looks like a retail one. I bought a s3520 150gb on newegg.com last year. The boxes are similar.

The 80gb or 120gb, 150gb is also good for a firewall which don't need a fast read/write speed and a large space.

Those drives really seem to increase in write speed as you go up in capacity. The 600 GB versions that I have are nearly nearly 500MB/s write.

Yeah, like 50 of them sold within a few hours of me posting this, so he probably figured they're too cheap. Still not a bad price though given that they are brand new.

Received mine.

Checked the SNs on the boxes on intel website(which are ISNs on the SSDs, too). Checked one of them with CrystalDiskInfo and only "power cycle count" is 3 and all other items relative to lifespan are 0. I think they are the retail version of S3500.

@newabc used drives often have their SMART data cleared, so take the disk info with a grain of salt. Only way to really determine estimated life span is to fill it up a few times and check for sector relocations.

That being said, these drives are new and sealed so probably no worries in this case.
