It runs Proxmox hypervisor -- with opnSense and an Ubuntu container (XRDP, Apache Guacamole, qBittorrent)

I believe, replacing S5553 with e3c224d2l is not a good idea. unless you upgrade to newer mini-itx board

I also have a gigabyte itx LGA 1150 server board, has IPMI but not a dedicated IPMI port.

Overall, Gigabyte itx board is just not as good as this Asrock or Tyan itx board.
One less sata port too.

Had a bitch of a time getting IPMI to play nice with Java. Could try again (I had given up).
It might just complement at this stage, rather than replace. I'll end up re-purposing the Tyan regardless (maybe networking node lab or something)

I also bought that Tyan on one of the last sales advised here I think. Would have been a couple years back

Had a bitch of a time getting IPMI to play nice with Java

I have a VM for running java ipmi purpose, it never gets software update, VM frozen on snapshoot.

Java version is Java 7 update 80 , it works with Tyan S5533 java ipmi

Sooo....does anyone happen to have a spare one of these floating around?

I just got around to opening mine up and of course it's 2 days out side the warranty window and it has badly bent cpu pins
I'm really disappointed in Newegg for letting this even go out the door!
