EX4300 software

Hi all,

I run my own home network and currently run a EX4200. I got a good deal on eBay for a EX4300 as I have wanted to expand my 10gb network. I'm actually enjoying the syntax changes which are interesting to see (DHCP and vlan changes being the biggest ones) . It's easier to get software updates for the EX4200 but the EX4300 is proving much trickier. I'm on 14.1 now. Has anyone had success with this ?

Sorry to bump this one up after so long..

are the 40G QSFP's also usable for regular server connections? or only stack?

how easy is it to get the advanced routing licenses for this model (for home/lab usage)?

yes you can use the 40G as normal port.

Advanced routing license is dicey if your NOT the original registered owner of the EX4300.

I will NOT SHARE firmware.. a few ruined it for everybody.

Doesn't work for the EX4300 unfortunately. There was one website that had some not-so-recent stuff (20 train I believe) but it was a strange domain and the checksums didn't match up. Risky stuff.

I too just bought an EX4300 and I'm stuck on 18 train because I don't have an entitlement and JTAC told me to f off when I made a ticket for rudimentary access to Junos code on their website. If anyone has 21.4R3-S5 for an EX4300-48P I would be very grateful.
