Having trouble finding a dual NVMe PCIe card that could support connecting two 2.5" NVMe (Optanes) drives to a single bifurcated PCIe slot.

I'm sure someone is a better Googler than me...

If you are using the bifurcated x16 slot, you might consider the ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 Card (quad)

I don't think the 2E4T has a PLX chip, that one should rely on bifurcation

Does that work on a non Asus system? Had issues with their M2 -> U2 adapters not working in a SM board (which you are not using).

Else AOC-SLG3-2E4T | Add-on Cards | Accessories | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc. (or the 4E4T variant if you want to use x16 slot).
You can either connect the U.2 devices with an U.2 -> M.2 cable
AOC-SLG3-2M2 | Add-on Cards | Accessories | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc.

When I bought my Optane, the M.2 cable was included

or with SFF 8643 cables
AOC-SLG3-2E4R | Add-on Cards | Accessories | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc.

or with Oculink cables and PLX chip
AOC-SLG3-2E4T | Add-on Cards | Accessories | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc.

Thanks guys! Which would be the cheapest option taking into account buying cables to pair with two optanes? I have t purchased the optanes get so I can go either way on the connections.

well some optanes come with m2.->u2 cable so no extra cable on these. SM also has dual m.2 aocs iirc.

Me personally prefer the Occulink connector as thats present also on some boards, backplanes in addition to the hbas; also they are cheaper than the 8643 ones

Does this card come with a full size/standard profile bracket or is there another PN for one?
looking at the manual its just low profile bracket. there could be a bracket from another card that might fit

there are u.2 cards with dual connectors that might work beter for you.

I purchased a couple of the AOC-SLG3-2M2 from CDW (at the time the cheapest I could find). The p/n on the box was AOC-SLG3-2M2-O. The card is supplied with the short bracket attached but there is a tall bracket included in the box (but not called out on the checklist)

The part number on the plastic bag containing the tall bracket is BKT-0066L

I wound up picking up the low profile card for $50 on Amazon and bought the full height bracket on eBay.

I can confirm my card also came with a tall bracket which has allowed me to return the additional bracket I bought on eBay.
